Mild Steps is an early-access daily planning app. It helps people manage routines, chores, habits, one-time tasks, ideas, and small life admin. Because the product is still early, features and technical systems may change as we improve the app.

This policy explains what information Mild Steps uses, why it is used, and what we do not do with it. The short version is simple: we do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use your task content for unrelated purposes.

Information you provide

Mild Steps may store information you enter into the app, including:

• Account details such as your name, email address, password authentication data, timezone, language, and default energy setting.
• Tasks, habits, chores, routines, ideas, notes, labels, parts of day, importance levels, and completion history.
• Settings and preferences that help the app show the right language, time context, and daily suggestions.

How we use information

We use your information only to operate and improve Mild Steps for you. This includes:

• Showing your Today plan, Task Bank, Routines, Ideas, Add screen, and Settings.
• Saving your preferences and account access.
• Keeping your reusable tasks and routines connected.
• Maintaining the app, fixing problems, improving reliability, and making the early-access product better.

We do not use your personal task content for advertising, profiling, selling data, or unrelated purposes.

No selling or advertiser sharing

Mild Steps does not sell your information. Mild Steps does not share your information with advertisers. Mild Steps does not use your tasks, routines, ideas, or planning data to target ads.

Service providers and technical access

The app may rely on hosting, database, authentication, security, and infrastructure services to run. These services process data only as needed to provide the app. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own advertising or unrelated purposes.

Because Mild Steps is early access, limited technical access by the operator may be needed to maintain the service, investigate errors, protect the system, or support users. We keep this access practical and limited to what is needed to operate the app.

Early-access privacy note

Mild Steps is still developing. The app may change, and early systems may not yet include every privacy, export, deletion, or account management feature that a mature product would have. Please avoid storing highly sensitive information in Mild Steps at this stage.

You should keep your own backup of anything essential. Mild Steps is meant for practical daily planning, not for storing secrets, medical records, financial records, legal records, emergency information, or other sensitive material.

Cookies and authentication

Mild Steps may use cookies or similar browser storage for sign-in, session security, installed-app behavior, and basic operation. These are used to keep the app working, not to sell or advertise to you.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the app. No internet service can promise perfect security, especially during early access. Please use a strong password and avoid entering sensitive information that does not belong in a planning app.

Data retention and deletion

Mild Steps keeps account and planning information while your account is active or while it is needed to operate the service. As the product matures, account export and deletion workflows may be improved.

Children

Mild Steps is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact the project operator so it can be reviewed.

Because Mild Steps is an early-access product, this Privacy Policy may change as the product, hosting, account features, and support processes evolve. The updated version will be posted on this page.
